Speakers doesnt sound as good after the update. What happened to the crisp treble and punchy bass?? Highs used to be the same as my Fender Newport. Now it sounds muddy like the jbl charge 3... Pls do something about it.

a even after paired for some time, still will not play beginning of song, processor slow. b has feature to charge other USB devices, if you use it, it ruins the battery life down to 15 minutes at high volume and 45 minutes to one hour low volume, that is disgraceful and the main reason rating is so low. If I do recommend this product it comes with a warning, HOOK NOTHING TO IT. c Sound is awesome d paring of another speaker works well most of the time.

i am a die hard JBL fan! i have 2 sets of headphones, and JBL Xtreme 1 and Xtreme 2. i even have JBL car speakers. I have had the Xtreme 1 for over a year and it is so amazing i use it everyday! my wedding is coming up next weekend so i went and got the xtreme 2 hoping i could pair them and have one speaker outside and one inside but they dont pair together.
why would a company like JBL (HC) make speakers that are not compatible, especially speakers with the same name? i cant find a JBL xtreme 1 to buy so i am stuck with 2 speakers that dont connect, and no music for outside at my wedding :(.
Sound Quality is great like always, Build Quality is great like always also with the wireless speakers. if you have 2 Xtreme 2's or this is your first purchase it will be great, but do not get it thinking it will pair with older models because it wont.

Thank you for your review, our sincerest apology for the inconvenience. Your feedback will be communicated to the proper department to improve our current and future product line. the Connect+ of the Xtreme 2 allows you to connect to 100+ speakers with the same feature while the Connect only allows you to connect to 2 speakers at a time which is why they're not compatible. If you need further assistance, please let us know and we'll be more than happy to help you out. Have a great day!
With the 1.6 update, the speaker was louder on battery mode, have better sound and bass! It was the perfect speaker. But unfortunately, I was updated to the 1.9. Now the speaker is less loud and sound like a little speaker. Please fix it, or give back the 1.6 update!!! Thanks a lot!

I was running firmware 1.6 and the sound was terrific, huge bass and punchy mids. I since updated to 1.9 and the update failed on the last few percent and my firmware went to 8.8.8. The speaker is now terrible. The bass is lacking badly and the mids seem to be muffled. The overall sound is now quite poor. I don't know what has happened but I am very unhappy with my speaker now. I just want 1.6 firmware back now, but there is no way of reverting to it. Buyer beware!
