Highs frequency completely inexistent...

I have purchased a new jbl xtreme 2 blkeu, GG version, firmware 2.4.0 and I expected great things from this speaker but this did not happen...
1. I can hear a slight rustling from the speaker when the bluetooth connection is power on.
2. The high frequency are completely close (it almost seems that there are no tweeters) and the low range is over boosted.
Please, fix it with a new firmware version, with a more sound quality approach, and less spl

I bought it before a year!! It has good sound , good volume but it hasn't big bass and in max volume the sound is distorsing for the cost of this speaker!! It is waterproof that it is a good feature but this speaker isn't so durable as the company says!! I can recommend it but it has very big cost for what this speaker offering you!.....

If you prefer Techno, this is not your choice.

I bought it 4 months ago and after i turned Techno music on this speaker, i was really disappointed. Low basses sounds like one windy noise that overwhelms other sounds until bass is over. It is possible to hear some poor bass if you stand under the speaker or sit on the floor. If you prefer Techno music or low, deep basses this is the one of the most bad choices for you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great sound and the portability is a nice feature. Battery truly lasts a long time between charges and the BlueTooth connectivity is easy. We also have a Bose SoundDock10, which is not portable. In comparison the JBL is close but I think the Bose gets better bass response at all volumes, where the Xtreme2 bass response is a little weak at lower volumes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had the charge 4 but wish I had gotten the extreme 2 instead, so i made it work! I love this speaker! It sounds great literally anywhere! Great bass and fantastic stereo sound! Once you hold the Xtreme 2 you can tell its probably one of the most rigged speakers you can get which is awesome seeing how I'm always on the go! Plus I love my great sounding music! It is alittle pricey but if you can get past that this speaker is worth every penny!
