Amazing glad I bought it

I've had the xtreme 2 for a year now and it has been absolutely amazing. I take it everywhere to work to parties, the lake you name it. It's done amazing and I have had no issues with it. It's exactly the product I would expect from JBL. Compared to the original xtreme it's sounds a lot better and a lot of the battery issues have been fixed on it.

BUY IT!!

I give this speaker 5 stars if you need a reliable good working loud speaker this is the one. We had a house fire and we lost everything but the firemen carried this out after getting the fire under control they did a sweep. They carried out the speaker and it was in perfect condition no burns melted parts no nothing even the strap was untouched. The speaker worked perfectly fine. Worked like a charm I have pictures of all the damage and nothing was saved at all nothing not even the military coins that were earned in service but his speaker was saved.

Not happy with this..

I believe 1 start is to much for this device.
I bought 2 of them and I'm very much unhappy 🙁.
You guys play wirh the people doing this .I'm not understanding why I can't change the speaker use USB and I can't play music use a USB flash card???
Can some one explain why JBL not doing it correctly?
I need to change it use a USB and play music use a USB flash drive . No way to despend money on this if is not working properly..

Perfect for a traveler and audiofile!

Love the speaker! Plenty of volume, amazing sound quality, some nice bass. Having a built in strap and it being waterproof if awesome for what I use it for, I use it everyday bumping tracks wherever I go, and I look good doing it too, thanks to this speaker! It’s worth it if it’s in your budget! JBL don’t miss when it comes to speakers!

Best in Class Xtreme Performance

I’ve been an audio enthusiast since the early 90’s and have listened to countless audio related configurations over the years with a critical ear, and when comparing every major brand within the same price range, the Xtreme 2 outclasses everything in terms of functionality, like being highly portable, waterproof with a high battery life, along with impressive captivating sound quality. The same can be said about its predecessor, the first Xtreme, as well as the Charge 3 and previous generations.
Few flaws are noted, but should be mentioned to avoid any unexpected disappointments. Number 1 is it is not backwards compatible using the Connect feature for multiple speaker pairings. Anything not designated Connect+ will not pair together. Connect & Connect+ has been renamed PartyBoost on next generation JBL Bluetooth devices.
Number two is not really a flaw in my opinion, but has been a complaint in other reviews. AC mode has higher dynamic impact than battery mode. In other words, using it simply on battery power, it has less “umph” than being plugged in. It is a necessary evil to balance sound output with battery life, but not the deal breaker some have wrote about. Other than that, i feel you’ll enjoy this speaker for many years as i have since 2019.

Good Speaker

Bought this a few weeks ago and happy that I did. Good quality, very portable and the music sounds good. My only knock is that I feel that the spear should be louder for its size compared to other similar speakers. Even while plugged in, I expected more volume out of it.

Beast of a Speaker

I've had this speaker for about 16 months and use it for the outdoors. It is still holding up very well. I've taken it in extreme conditions for extended periods of time and it does fine. It has a good volume for yard work and general outdoor parties. The bass is decent, and the mids and treble are well balanced.
