Bought this speaker a year ago and had it replaced once already (warranty). Now months later same issue. The battery stops charging..So now I got to return it again. Very disappointed in this product. Sounds great. but the battery is garbage. Stay away. The speaker will only give you nothing but aggravation. Not worth the dough !!!! Find a different alternative

This should be WAY louder. I got to a point that I couldn’t turn the volume up anymore and i had it INSIDE my house. C’mon JBL ...

Putting the volume to its highest both on your phone and the JBL Xtreme 2 will certainly sound distorted since the music has gone past its required volume. You may either lessen the volume on your phone while the Xtreme 2 has max volume or vice versa, and you'll still be able to enjoy music around your house. I haven’t found anything yet to top the sound quality of this portable JBL. I like a deep bass sound and my portable Bose speakers just couldn’t deliver. Only issue I’ve had is related to the control buttons. Hubby mashed them too hard on my last one which is why I had to buy a new one.
