Great for exercise

I use it to keep track of steps, sleep etc. It also allows you to not carry your phone everywhere around the house as you can keep track of and make texts and calls. The galaxy AI features even suggests when it getting close too bed or time too get moving.

The Watch5 Pro allows you to stay on track with Route workout and is built with 2x tougher Sapphire crystal. The Route workout feature lets you import GPX format workout routes from your smartphone to your watch, syncing your route list. If your watch has a shortened battery life, we recommend checking for updates and also running a diagnostic on your watch's battery. To update, from your phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app. Depending on your watch, you will either tap Watch settings or tap SETTINGS tab. Then, tap About watch, and then tap Update watch software. Or, tap About Gear, and then tap Update Gear software. Check out the link attached for other options to help optimize your battery life. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Galaxy watch had been an amazing tool in my fitness journey. It helps monitor my heart rate ekg and so much more. The galaxy AI had assisted with compiling multiple messages into a short concise message of what someone is saying. Ther are several apps and different watch faces. There is truly something for everyone with this watch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My watch never leaves my wrists unless it's charging, which I don't have to do but every 2-3 days because of the battery capacity. To say that I love it would be an understatement. I use it as my music controller and as a camera controller for my Galaxy S24 Ultra. I workout 4-5 days each week for right 2 hours each session and it records the intensity of each session by constantly monitoring my heart rate and calories burned. At night I switch wrists to give my left arm a little break and use the watch to record and analyze my sleep. I've been part of the Samsung ecosystem for over 12 years and I have no plans of ever switching. The watch also controls my Galaxy Buds (Pro, then Buds 2 Pro, and now Buds 3 Pro). I'll use this watch for as long as possible until I upgrade to a newer Galaxy watch but in the nearly 2 years that I've owned the watch, 8 can hardly tell that there's been any battery degradation yet. I'm afraid I'm hooked on Samsung and have no reason to change.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Battery lasts about 22 hours, hate AI, want nothing to do with a computer thinking for me. I have a brain. Will not buy a phone or tablet with AI. Unless I can disable it.

Fantastic smartwatch; decent health tracker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Galaxy Watch 5 Pro works great as a smartwatch. First off, the battery life is excellent. I can easily go two full days and have stretched it to three on several occasions between charges. Secondly, it let's me keep my phone in my pocket for many tasks, such as checking incoming messages, taking calls, checking weather, making a quick note, asking Google a question... This is huge if you've got something in your hands or don't want to look distracted when you are with others. Using the camera remote function has also been great.
As a health tracker / sportswatch, it has all the features and they are pretty easy to use. The problem is that the accuracy (especially heart rate and sleep tracking) is mediocre. I still use it all the time to track workouts and other data, but I know that I have to take some of the data with a grain of salt.
Overall, I am very happy with this watch and it is the perfect complement to my (fairly chunky) Galaxy Fold. They work together wonderfully.
