I bought this USB to Serial adapter because I had some equipment that wasn't working with the adapter that I owned previously. This adapter was very easy to set up and everything worked flawlessly and automatically. I have now tried it with all my serial devices and it works with them all. Thank you for a great product

I've been using this model for years in the oilfield measurement industry and it's never failed me. Recently it's been very handy when connecting to Bristol Controllers, as it will allow the program to poll for the local address, where the other adapter I have will not. Just keep an eye on the cord plugged into the back, it has a habit of coming out if your not paying attention.

The Keyspan Is The Lifeline Of My Business, Allowing Me To Communicate To Any Security Panel In My Database To Update Users,Delete,Bypass Faulty Zones Every Conceivable Action To Maintain The Integrity Of Security For My Customers From My Office Without Ever Having To Go To Their Location With No Out Of Pocket Cost To My Customers

I have worked at a university and a biotech R&D company where we had equipment with serial interfaces. The 19HS has worked with the widest variety of units and with the fewest errors of any adapter I have used. Two thumbs up.

I've been using this USB to serial adaptor for close to 5 years, and I've used others as well, and they're supposed to be compatible.... Don't hold your breath! This is the one that will work with almost any OS and/or software! I am a 35 year alarm technician and also work with other tech as well. Save your time this is the one for you! In my field, we still are way behind the time as most of the modems still used for downloading and programming systems are at least 35 years old as well (Hayes Smartmodem) Which run around 300-1200 baud.

I bought this product so I could download info from the internet to my car diagnostic device. I looked at a lot of them but only Tripp Lite 19HS fit the bill. When I received it I plugged right to my computer and it did the job.

AV Industry must have

A lot of legacy and even current AV equipment still uses serial cable communication. I have a MacBook Pro running Yosemite, with Windows 8.1 running in Parallels. MOST of the AV configuration software is Windows only. This device allows my Virtual Windows PC to talk to an external serial device with this adaptor as if it were all native on it's own machine. Fantastic!
