[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has a robust build. Unfortunately my specific laptop seems to have trouble maintaining network and Bluetooth connections, an issue that isn't hardware related. Unfortunate to deal with problems like this with a $2400 laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an entry-ish mobile workstation. The build quality is appropriate for the price. Hardware selection and hardware-software integration have not been well planned. For example, the computer is confused in deciding when to use the built-in AMD's graphic and the discrete Nvidia's GPU. In comparison, Apple's MacbookPro does that seamlessly. I have an 2019 MacbookPro running only Windows, and it is much more refined than my newly purchased Lenovo ThinkPad. The other annoyance is Lenovo limits the modification of the Bios, etc. It is a workstation, not a consumer grade Yoga laptop. I do not buy the mobile workstation to just surf the internet. I want to be able to modify the settings for my specific needs. These little annoyances over times can be aggravating. I miss the old IBM's ThinkPads. Those were built to last forever. My old ThinkPad, aside from the battery that wasn't holding charge, lasted 14 years and refused to die.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Performance but Overheats in transport

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This computer can boast incredible performance and has versatile customizability in terms of adjusting for performance boosts or power-saving operations. This is the first time I have moved from Apple products due to the requirements of certain engineering software, and I have not been disappointed. However, a slight concern I have is that the computer, when in closed and in sleep mode, will sometimes overheat, especially when put in a bag for transportation because it will insulate the fans. It seems to happen at random, but I hope this will not affect the long-term durability and performance; for a relatively mobile computer, I should be able to close it and put it in my bag without causing damage to the hardware.
