[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Thinkpad P1 Gen 7 has been fantastic - I was finding that I needed a bigger screen than my 14" X1 Carbon Gen 10, and the 16" 4K OLED screen is just incredible. Same fantastic keyboard, and the performance is great.
Laptop runs hot, therefore fan is often on, and it's loud. The nVidia GPU was always at 0%, and I had to do research online on how to put it work. Fan runs even more now. My bluetooth mouse keeps disconnecting after the laptop goes into sleep mode, and I have to turn laptop's bluetooth on & off to make it work again. Otherwise, good quality build. Good screen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome computer, very quick and efficient. So far it seems to be a solid build that will complete any task needed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had it just a few weeks, but so far it is very nice. Fast, great display, lots of disk, nice keyboard, good sound.
The fan noise is so terrible for a 3000 dollar laptop

Thank you for taking time to provide feedback on your experience with our Lenovo product. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. All high-performance machines, like this one, have fans to maintain optimum operating temperatures. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We recommend utilizing our Lenovo Vantage app by making sure all your drivers are up to date. This will ensure your systems performance level. There is also a quiet mode option you may choose within the app to turn on. Go to hardware settings, power, then switch from high performance to quiet mode. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are getting a workstation, you already know the price point vs specs. Overall this one is fine, but not $5000 fine. So I'd recommend waiting for a sale.
As expected per specs. Runs well, cooling is fine- Not impressively so, but with a cooling pad underneath it doesn't run too hot after strenuous use. However, Wifi sometimes doesn't connect and only restarting fixes it. Security feature is good- also expected of a workstation, but the fingerprint reader isn't the most accurate.
Camera shutter indication turns red when it hides the camera, which is counterintuitive. Microphone key glows when it's muted- All of these are questionable design features.
Not a full keyboard so you want to make sure if that's something you like/don't mind. For my use it's fine. All important keys and shortcuts are there, just not an individual numpad.
Touch pad is a bit too wide for my liking, originally it disrupted my typing. However, that's a 'getting used to the new keyboard' thing. After using it for a bit, that issue no longer happens.
