Some of the feature are handy, like quickly toggling modes. There are two drawbacks. The print on the keys are noticeably raised, which makes it hard to feel for the home keys. The "0" key is half sized, which makes it awkward if you're used to typing fast on a Num Pad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
