Love Kingston quality. Tried others that seemed ok, then had trouble copying some stuff to their drive. Also like the new design. It's very small and doesn't stick out very far when in my laptop.
Great drive, great size. I like that the small-sized drive is made from metal rather than plastic, unlike some other brands. Kingston really nailed the styling on this, and I see it as a natural evolution of their iconic DTSE9 drives. There's not a seam or burr to be seen on the machining which gives it that solid Kingston feeling.
I wasn't able to get good speeds to/from an internal SSD through a type-C adaptor, around 80 MB/s tops. There's surely a bottleneck in my system I could ease to get top speeds, but I don't need full speeds for documents and photos.
The reason I can't give it five stars is a personal preference gripe: since the ring hole on the drive is rectangular, it'll always hang off-kilter when on a cord or key ring. I think of the DTSE9 as ideal flash drive design, and it's successor will need time to grow on me.
Bottom line: super solid, small size, pretty quick, and affordable. I'll be buying more!
Durable metal exterior, sleek and simple design, no cap or multiple pieces, the key ring end is slanted so you can see or feel which way to plug it in too.
