Customer Reviews for Lenovo - ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard II (US English) - Wired/Wireless Connectivity - Bluetooth - 2.40 GHz - USB Type A In - Black
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this product. I have been waiting for this keyboard and it fully meets my expectations. I currently use one of the Carbon X1 models, and I just could not get used to other Bluetooth keyboards. Now, alternating between the built-in keyboard and this keyboard cannot be more natural. The material seems to be slightly different from the built-in keyboard, but I got used to this very soon.

Solid Product, just not for iPadOS

The product itself is pretty good quality honestly. Plastics have a nice texture to them without making it feel cheap, and there is enough heft to make it feel solid but not heavy to take away from portability. Where it falls short is the iPadOS use. Scrolling “works” but difficult to use with how iPadOS interprets the middle click. It is also very sensitive with the trackpoint which is something users usually have to adapt to when first using a trackpoint. Typing experience is pleasant, solid feel for a membrane keyboard, with great travel, while maintaining a flat profile. I really wanted to like this product for my uses. Another improvement Lenovo should consider with the next iteration is a tablet/phone tray extension so your device doens’t require it’s own stand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This keyboard is the most affordable wireless trackpoint keyboard.
Cons: The chasis. The bottom of the keyboard can shift into and out of the top frame of the keyboard making a sound when you pinch the user-side (left and right) corners (rarely noticeable). Additionally, the the keyboard can flex just enough so the middle of the keyboard makes contact with my desk when pressure is applied, also making a sound. This was more anoying, I had to put electrical tape on the bottom of my keyboard to act as a spacer. I've owned 2 of these keyboards and this issue is present on both.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been a lifesaver for working from home. My ThinkPad laptop needs to be up on a stand for my posture at my home office. I've tried a couple different wireless keyboards, but they can't keep up with my typing speed and have a different layout than my laptop. This was well worth the money to have a similar layout and fast key response. Would be 5 stars if the top keys (volume, mic, brightness) worked. I'm sure there is a way but it isn't instant. (Using a Windows 10 OS)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything I was expecting! Works great, use to type documents on my ultra book in lounge mode on chaise, or in bed to tv. Doubles great for internet surfing with trackpoint. ONLY complaint is the type-C charging port is REALLY tight, and I see how you could break if you aren’t really careful.
Overall the keyboard is fantastic. Unfortunately there is no Linux Bluetooth support, so I can't call this a programmer's dream keyboard. However the USB dongle does work with Linux so if you are okay with that. This is the perfect travel keyboard for when you want to elevate your laptop and still be able to type as desk level.
