No Longer Turns On After 8 Months

Purchased 8 months ago and was initially satisfied with the functionality / experience. The keyboard reproduced the performance of the Thinkpad keyboard, trackpoint and all. At 8 months, the keyboard failed to turn on if not plugged into a power source. When plugged into the USB power source, the keyboard functions as desired. When not, it doesn't work at all. The battery appears to be fully charged as indicated by the solid white charging LED light. Not sure if the keyboard's battery is the issue or some other component is degraded. Lenovo support not helpful in resolving / suggesting an alternative. Disappointing, the keyboard lasted less than one year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

FN hot keys not working after updating BIOS

It is extremely frustrating that after I ran a suggested BIOS update for my thinkpad P51 the trackpoint ii keyboard FN Keys (F1-F12) stopped working, these are critical keys for me and I have tried all suggested fixture without success, the product is good, but if I cant use the basic key functionality then becomes useless. unbelievable that both thinkpad products can not syncing up among each other

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Get that classic ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard feel for your other devices. Used the USB dongle with a raspberry pi, and with a Lenovo Tiny PC. Also, used the bluetooth pairing with a Lenovo Duet Chromebook. Great combos. I like the built in USB dongle storage. I did miss have backlit keys. Also, am concerned about the strength of the flip out legs longterm.
