Not even a month with this charger and it already stopped working! It will no longer charge and I’ve tried 2 different power adapters
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased just a little over a month ago and already barely charges my phone. I keep it in the same spot near my bed and the cord has to be angled just right to charge. It continuously loses power if I try to use my phone while plugged in. Very disappointed in the product! I purchased an Otterbox cord because it looked like it would last a long time compared to the Apple cord and I was mistake.
