Easy to Install

Recently installed 2 Smart Ceiling lights in a hallway. Install was very straight forward and simple for my application. The lights quickly found my network and synced to the app immediately. Light control is a bit touchy on the app, but the lights look great and offer an abundance of different scene and mood settings. They also have a clean, modern look to them if that is your style.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lights up the entire room…. Able to control on my stream deck as well with Siri. I can even control it though my Apple Ultra Watch, as well as every other Govee light I own.

Light is great. App is meh.
Govee’s lights are pretty nice. Great colors, great brightness, but… App leaves a LOT to be desired. Primarily with this lamp. Changing the base and ring colors is fine, but if I want the ring to do a pattern and the base to stay solid, not going happen. I want the base to be one color and just a tracer around the top of the ring, can’t do it.
Overall, the app is their greatest drawback.

Great replacement if you want more light than most ceiling lights

Great ceiling light! We used this to replace our can light light above our dining table using a converter for the can light socket and it worked flawlessly. The light is really bright and I got a 6 button remote to switch between scenes when we want. Mostly it’s still powered by the switch and works well!

I enjoyed the ease of setup but there are two many issues I seem to be experiencing. If you change to color light the lumens are not that high and causes items and people in the room to barely be visible. Secondly, if you changed from a color featured scene to normal light color, hit a house switch off then turn it back on, it goes back to color unless you turn off the Bluetooth on your phone prior. The color brightness is my main concern.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
