The light works well and has a lot of different colors and scenes that are fun to play with. The app is disappointingly slow and is just a tool to sell more products rather than a good user interface to use my devices.

Super bright when out in pure white
Lights up the entire room…. Able to control on my stream deck as well with Siri. I can even control it though my Apple Ultra Watch, as well as every other Govee light I own.

Lighting effects are good, but the light is far too small in general.

I bought this and a few other brand round ceilding lights at the same time, not a huge fan of govee animations for ceiling lights, transitions are not smooth, also you can see individual leds, they need to do a better job defusing the light

Good Hardware, Bad Software

The good: The white light is pretty bright and provides nice lighting with a range of temperatures.
The bad: This is a deal breaker for my application, I can't adjust the back LEDS to be in RGB mode while the main light is in illumination. This ruins this smart light to be able to show notifications and status through the back. This should be fixable through a software update. Enable illumination (white light) effects while in the custom RGB selector. I understand the back cannot be white light and that is totally fine. Will update my review if this changes. Good hardware buts its hampered by its cumbersome software and bad interoperability with other smart home ecosystems.
