Honestly, this is my second purchase. I find it super pleasing to the eye and greatly improves the viewing experience on my TV, both the one I have in my living room and the one installed in my bedroom. Sometimes it took me a bit of work to calibrate it, but once you do, it works perfectly. It's truly a very satisfying experience. I love this brand's products; they're easy to install, easy to use, and have perfect lighting. I just wish certain products were a little more affordable, but I also understand all the manufacturing, assembly, and programming work that goes into these perfect products.
Light don’t match screen as advertised. They stay a single color that somewhat match the screen. Not anywhere close to what is advertised on a Govee videos. Even after spending hours with calibration, the lights stay as single colors that change with screen.
It works well enough. Since my TV is 65-in at the corners, do not get any light. It would be better if this was not for a 55-in TV. If I did not use the apps on my TV I might have gotten a sync box. After calibrating it multiple times, the colors are just not that accurate because the camera sees more than just the edge of the TV. So a color in the middle will sometimes pop on the sides.
It also struggles with green and brown colors. Green will sometimes be very bright green as opposed to a forest. Green and brown will show as a dull pink color sometimes.
I thought with all the colors possible and the camera, there would be a better match for dream view, basically the only reason I purchased the device after countless "smart backlight". So far this is the only light kit that does what I've always thought about growing up. I did pair it with 2 of the corner lights which makes it somewhat better, but even with them being away and behind the TV, ( my mount extends 2 ft from the wall) the lights interact and cause interference with eachother if they're not kept under 65% brightness. Probably should of got the ai box but I have a 50 inch tv.. I got the lights after I got the TV, I should of planned my purchases together better. Thinking of trying to mount the lamps from the ceiling. Maybe that's the key!
