I bought the Govee Curtain Light 2 for my grandson’s 4th birthday, and they were an absolute hit! The setup was quick and easy, and the lights transformed the space into something magical. The app makes it so simple to change themes, and we were able to match the lights to the different music a d the kids danced around.

Not worth the expense to upgrade from single original to the 2.

So, if you already have the original Curtain Light and are thinking this might be a good upgrade it depends. If you want to add a second or third light then yes, but if you only want to stay with the one then not worth the added expense. The animation is somewhat smoother, but the original had better scenes available, and has most all of the options of the newer model. My wife liked the original better, as do I. Govee needs more and better scenes, especially for Thanksgiving as thos ones included are terrible. Had I seen them side by side I would have stayed with the original.

Love the lights, images are very clear and it’s easy to use. My only complaint is the time intervals between scenes. The lowest interval is 5 minutes, that means each scene will run 5 minutes until it changes to the next one. I wish this could be lowered.

Look great and easy to setup. Just have a couple of issues that make me from giving it a perfect rating. The first issue we have is no matter what we do, we cannot get them to stay on the auto play setting which is annoying that when they come on during scheduled times, if I want them to show different images that I have saved I have to manually turn on the auto play setting everytime. Second issue I have is when it's on auto play (same with the permanent outdoor lights), the lowest amount of time to cycle to the other things saved is 5 minutes. Would be nice if you can adjust things so they can be set to your desired time.
