Segmented lights

The lights are segmented and that's not mentioned anywhere on this page. Every individual bulb doesn't not have a dedicated control. Instead every 7 lights can be set to a dedicated color.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible design

I've loved all my Govee lights until this one.
Besides the very low pixel density, the 20 and 30 meter kits are set up terribly. After the initial strip there is a non cuttable, and thick 8"connector cable. The beginning of the next strip also has the 8"cable. There are no extended jumper wires or any sort of splitting option. If they are planning on you using it for one continuous run there should not be that much wire between the strips. It's impossible to hide 16"of large black cable that needs to be looped back around to make the two strips close together. And for my use I wanted three parallel strips 6' apart. So instead of just offering an extension cable they make you buy 3 separate strip kits.

Excellent value

I've had these lights installed for one week and have been so impressed with them. I installed them on the outside railing of my deck, so I first screwed in the strip clips, then ran the lights. So far, the adhesive has not failed and we've had a lot of rain the past week. The lights are bright and there are many options to have different patterns and colors. I wish the kit came with more clips. I am very pleased with the product, however, and plan to buy more to put under my gutters all around the house.

Nice lights, somewhat intuitive interface, wish the controller weren't limited to a certain number of segments.

Nice lights, somewhat easy to install. I bought two packs of the 98.4ft sets, hoping to splice them together. Ideally, I wanted to hook both sets up to the same controller. Well, the controller is limited to a certain number of LED segments.
I did cut and hook segments back together using a 10mm 5pin connector. But any LED segments beyond what would be the equivalent of 98.4ft of strip do not come on. I'm not sure where "Ed" (from one of the top reviews) got 200ft. Because you can splice all you want, but the segments past 98.4ft don't come on. I'm not sure if this is a software or a hardware issue. If it's a software issue, GOVEE, change it! It would be nice to be able to buy several sets, cut and splice them together and run them off of one controller. Having controllers hanging down from all around your house is lame.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We are very sorry that our products do not support series connection. For your user experience, we recommend not to use series connection. If connected in series, it may cause the lamp to flicker, affect its service life, or even cause the lamp to not work.

Got our RGBICWW LED light strips up on the house, looks amazing and the neighbors are now envious. The app feature is great, easy to use and tons of light show themes.

The lights are nice but Govee says they are cut and splicable..seems to be only if you have an idea inside ring because the cut spots aren’t anywhere near the solder points and when I cut them and used connectors it didn’t work so thanks for wasting my money…
