Tried it out before using it for the holidays. First time it is heated up, it had a smell of oil or something, but it dissipated after a few minutes. Glad I tried it out before using it for company.

When switch off after a long warming session, there is no indication to say that the surface may still be hot. So it’s a safety issue I believe.
