Best USB / Serial Adapter Out There

Contrary to other posted comments, this device does work with El Capitan. I have two that are on two different computers (an iMac and a MacBook Pro) that receive daily use. About to purchase a third for a relative to use on a Mac Mini. I've deployed these on several Windows systems too. Absolutely 100% reliable and works without a hitch on both Mac OS X and Windows.

I've used this product for years, it's been great until now. I've called support and they do not have an eta if at all to continue support for OS X.

Works extremely well!

I have used this product for over 5 years on both Windows XP and 7 without issue. I have used it to interface several RS232 devices. Make sure to have the driver installed, plug in the device and verify it is loaded in device manager before opening any other software that will use the com port it creates. Do this and you will not have any issues. Other devices I used would disconnect intermittently and fail to work requiring manual disconnecting and re-connecting, sometimes to a different USB port to get it to work. Not with this product, it has worked for hours at a time without issue.

The most reliable and versatile adapter I have found

I have worked at a university and a biotech R&D company where we had equipment with serial interfaces. The 19HS has worked with the widest variety of units and with the fewest errors of any adapter I have used. Two thumbs up.

It Just Works. VERY Reliable.

I've been using one of these for over 10 years on Win-XP, and it works every time, all the time. If you need to add RS-232 to a machine with only USB, you gotta get one of these.

Best UART adapter

Over years of automated embedded device testing these have been the most reliable USB < -> UART adapters for me. I primarily use them from Linux and Mac with pyserial or Device::SerialPort, and sometimes from Windows with FlashMagic. Seems to work fine with Minicom and Screen too.

Think about redesigning the case.

Works great. The only thing I have problems with is with the rounded end of the actual case doesn't allow it to make good contact and kept vibrating out. I took a file and filed the end of the plastic case flat and have not had a problem since then.
