A Fun Take on a Classic

What sets this product apart is its connection to the Barbie Mysteries storyline on Netflix, allowing kids to immerse themselves in an engaging detective-themed adventure beyond just playtime.
One of the most notable highlights is Barbie’s more realistic body shape, which reflects a thoughtful move toward promoting body awareness and inclusion from an early age. It’s encouraging to see toys that represent a wider range of real-life body types, helping young children form healthy, inclusive perceptions of beauty and confidence.
The only downside is the inclusion of several small accessory pieces, which are fun but easy to misplace—something to be mindful of if you have younger children or prefer low-maintenance toys.
Overall, this doll blends storytelling, representation, and fun in a meaningful way—definitely a standout in today’s toy market.

Better Than Expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It delivers expectations of the Barbie brand, but then it went further! Absolutely loving the flat foot design, no more heels!! This toy is rocking some hot pink high tops and we are here for it. Also did not notice originally, but she’s plus size? Okay so maybe not PLUS size, but not super skinny like the original dolls. She’s more a relatable, average body, and I’m in love. The accessories are also spot on. The cat eye sunglasses, cat ear headphones, even the kitty companion has their own headphones! 10/10 a new fav.

Beach Barbie- Daisy Jean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Barbie’s name is Daisy Jean. I believe this is what would be considered a “plus size” Barbie and she is quite a big thicker that a regular size Barbie. She has fuchsia color hair that is about waist length. She comes with her pet cat, cat earphones, sunglasses, a blue bracelet, and a pink necklace. All accessories are removable. Her pink boots have small slits on the back of them for easier access to take them off and put them on. The only thing we really did not care for when playing with this Beach Barbie was the fact that her arms did not bend in order to be able to hold her cat. My 5 year old loves playing with her and we will probably be purchasing Daisy Jeans friends soon.

Big Fun & Cool Accessories with Detective Daisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We loved opening the Beach Detective Barbie Mysteries doll—the box was super easy to open, which made it even more exciting! Daisy Jean is big and fun to play with. Her headphones, jewelry, kitty, and cute sunglasses were fun to find and helped us make up cool stories. Her shoes stayed on (yay!), and we liked pretending she was solving beach mysteries. It was a little hard to get the sunglasses and headphones on at the same time, and we weren’t sure why her hair was pink—but it matched her outfit, so it was still cute. We played for 25 minutes straight! Great doll with awesome accessories for imagination play.

Cool Summer Fun

The doll came with other accessories including a bracelet. I like that the doll has more realistic body proportions than other Barbie dolls.

One cool detective Daisy

Great Barbie - character lost on a 6 year old

She loves all the accessories that came with the doll, too. She had a few Barbie clothes that didn’t fit this doll (her only complaint), but I like the more realistic body
