Absolutely the best A/C I have ever owned.

The controls are easy to use. I monitor the electric usage. Right now it's 93° outside and 78° inside and it's using less than 800 watts. When it needs to it uses as much as 1100 watts. An amazing savings over my other A/C that uses 1400 watts any time it's on to cool the same space. Midea Duo is a lot quieter too. That said; the sqft coverage, area it cools, is not quite as much as they say it is. "blows cool air up to 26 feet away, reaching every corner of your home." has not been my experience. What it does is create an area of coolness in front of the unit extending a radius of 6 or 7 feet. Perfect for my small bedroom. Additional fans help it reach the corners. Possibly if you have a home that is open space 26 feet long it would work that way. What could be better: the word "Portable" implies it works in a variety of types of locations. Not that many. The one set up described in the manual is doable. What if you have something like a big old radiator in front of the window? The duo tubes will extend 4 feet or so up from the base. Despite the accordion design they are not very flexible, but will reach over the obstacle. The window interface is the problem. It is not designed for any stress whatsoever. Meaning that if the Duo tubes have to stretch at all to reach the window the adapter that clicks into the sheet of plastic you insert into the open window won't hold at all. The sliding window adapter comes in 3 parts so every thing will fit neatly in the shipping box. They should have sucked it up and made it one substantial piece. It is constantly falling apart and leaking air. I'm having to reinforce the seams with industrial grade duct tape. Also where it meets the window insert. The little clips to hold it in place are a joke. Where the adapter meets the Duo tubes will have to be taped also. Maybe tonight after it cools down outside I can tape it all together as one airtight piece. Reinstall it in the window. I

Early results: good appliance, but no online manual.

So far, it's working well to cool a moderate sized room. Humidity here is high, and after about 10 hours of use it still does not appear to have a full condensation reservoir. I'd buy it again, though I'm disappointed in the lack of an online user/installation manual.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Midea DUO 10,000 BTU SACC Smart Inverter Portable Air Conditioner, Grey from BzzAgent and I have decided to use it to cool the storage area in my house which I am planning to convert into an office studio with total area is about 300 square feet. It's weighs about 80 pounds but has wheels for easy portability and it looks great in the room and sturdy. This product comes with a very nice remote control and an easy to install and use app that allows me to control the air conditioner via wifi. The only installation requirement is to set up your windows with the attachments provided and you can do that easily by looking at the manual (but social media videos are even easier). As soon as the device is turned on you can enjoy the powerful airflow from Midea DUO 10,000 BTU SACC Smart Inverter Portable Air Conditioner that makes the air 10 degrees cooler and more comfortable in less than 1 hour. I'm very satisfied with this product, Can't expect more from an inverter portable air conditioner like this: + Very aesthetic for the room + Very very well made, durable + It's easy to install, interacts with + Cool your house in a short time + Noise reduction even though the airflow is very strong Absolutely it deserves 5/5 stars from me

AC works fine, but hose attachments are garbage

Bought this on a Friday and by Monday I returned it due to the clips both holding the adapter clamshell together and those holding the adapter into the window being too weak to hold. When I was able to actually get them to hold in place the unit worked fine but took forever to cool my 150 sq ft room. It ran all the time. Chatted with support to see if I could get replacement hose connections but they said it would take 2 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The midea duo is a solid portable unit that definitely cools a room. It has a good amount of pieces and the installation did take awhile. I would totally say it was worth it. It isn't loud so that is nice. The remote comes in handy and easy for a child to work on their own. I would definitely recommend!

We live in the desert Southwest and have central air. In order to cool the master bedroom off enough to sleep we had to cool the entire house down to 72 degrees from our normal setting of 80. This unit is quiet, efficient and surprisingly easy to set up. Our electric usage has dropped dramatically. I cool the bedroom down to 70 while leaving the rest of the house at 78 at night. It has paid for itself, I sleep next to the unit and it is exceptionally quiet compared to a window unit. A best buy for sure!
