Lots of great qualities with one HUGE deal breaker

My 3-star rating is an overall summation of what I thought of these earbuds...
On the plus side, the sound quality is spot on, typical of all other JBL earbuds I've used in the past. I also loved the whole "perfect fit" shape of the speakers. Human ear canals are rarely perfectly round, and the oval shape fit my ear canal more comfortably than any earbuds I've used in the past, regardless of manufacturer. This should be a standard feature on ALL JBL wireless earbuds going forward! The earbuds' construction as well as the charging pod are also top quality, and I never had a problem charging them, although every once in a while I had to make sure I manually disconnected them from my cell phone.
Unfortunately, the minus side turned out to be a significant one, but it's more a "me" problem and might not be true of other potential users. The only way these earbuds secure themselves to your ears is passively through the friction between the gel pads that cover the speakers and your ear canal. There is no way to positively lock these earbuds into your ears. My problem is that I have an oily face and ears, and given enough time these earbuds DO simply fall out of my ears when they become slippery, sometimes when I least expect it. I used these earbuds to listen to music and podcasts while I pull all-nighters overhauling a gymnasium, and (not to be too descriptive) one time when I had to use the bathroom one of the earbuds fell out of my ear and into the toilet at the exact instant I flushed it, and it was gone before I had a chance to realize what had just happened.
If you have slippery ears (for whatever reason), keeping these earbuds in place will be a challenge for you, but if you don't they're a very nice economical option. As for me, in the future I have to limit my choices of earbuds to those that I can positively lock into place in my ears. If that was true of these earbuds I'd give them a 5-star review, but in my case they fall out of my ears far too easily, which defeats their purpose, so I can't bring myself to give them more than 3 stars. However, that doesn't hurt my overall view of JBL and I have no problems recommending them or buying other products from them in the future, I just happened to unfortunately stumble onto a product that doesn't work for me.

Beautiful customization

The customized case is beautiful. The earbuds are slick and comfortable and fit well in my ears. The sound is classic JBL. However, the noise canceling is cumbersome. I wish I could control the noise cancellation.

You may try to connect the headphones to other devices, and perform a reset by turning on both earbuds and tap two times and hold the button on the third tap for more than 5 seconds. Too Chunky

These are too bulky and fall out of my ears constantly. I have to press them in to hear, and that causes the touch activated controls to pause or change volume which is irritating. The buds fall out of their case sometimes due to being open without a lid. I don't enjoy these. I can't say much about sound quality as they aren't a good fit

Not good

Ive had these for 8 hours and just bought something else. You definitely get what you pay for here. Uncomfortable and constantly falling out of place. Tried all three alternatives on sizing they all suck. Do not waste your money

Thanks for your feedback. We're always looking for ways to improve. For our JBL Vibe Buds, to achieve the best seal and secure fit, you must create a tight seal within your ear canal. To do this, angle the ear tip slightly downward to make it easier to insert into your ear canal, gently twist the earbud to fit it securely into the shape of your ear, and continue twisting the earbud into your ear canal.
