Great alternative to mounting my televison on my fireplace!

This was super simple to install...only took a few hours. Because the plate to mount this is so wide we did 'beef up' the area where we hung it from (from inside the attic). It was super simple to get adjusted to the perfect angle. Everyone that comes over comments on it...more impressively you can barely tell it's a ceiling mount! I would definitely get this if you want to mount your TV over your fireplace but don't want to mess with the brick!

Failed to mention in product information that this mount is for masonry application. Not a big deal, just had to add some framing above the ceiling to make it work. Very sturdy and customizable for best view.

Love the ceiling mount. The layout of my room made for the optimal tv placement to be in the corner. With a larger TV, and swing out style mount from the wall was not an option. This hanging mount allowed me to place the tv exactly where I wanted it at the exact height and angle.Installation was simple. Well, except for crawling in the ceiling and widening the studs, mine were only 2 inches wide, not enough to mount the 4 lag bolts. I also had trouble lining up with the studs when drilling pilot holes for the bolts. I don't blame that on this product though.Overall, very satisfied

It's a bit "janky". whatever that means... It works fine. Can't get my tv to get to perfect horizontal, but meh. It is a tv mount that works.. It doesn't seem like it will fall. However it's cluncky and has a lot of play. Fine for a bar or outdoors..
