We were so excited to receive this hammock. We immediately hung it between 2 trees. We had to adjust it several times, taking it higher and higher because every time my 7 year old got in it stretched down to the ground. The ropes also spread apart so wide he nearly falls through. Not at all what we expected.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for the review. We are sorry to learn that there is an issue with the hammock you purchased. Two things are at play here with this hammock : First, what is the length of the stand you are using; second ---- are the ropes on the hammock tightly woven together? These 2 considerations may effect the usability of the hammock.

This is a replacement cotton rope hammock and it fits perfectly onto my steel tube frame. The rope is softer than the original which feels nice. The wooden spreaders are wider than the original and the length of the rope part is shorter, but it fits the frame. All in all I just hope that it lasts as long as the original!

Made well. The rope is thick, which makes for a comfortable snooze. I really like the carry case it came with. I am able to bring it in easily when rain is coming. I am hoping it lasts a while. I have been using it now for about a month.
