Pelican makes good products, this case continues that trend. Solid fit, no gaps or wiggle room, just nice and snug and makes you feel confident your phone is well protected. It feels matte smooth, but it also doesn’t have that tacky feel that some of the cheaper ‘soft touch’ coatings do on other phones. The case lays flat because it has a raised border along the back of the case around the lip that is the same height as the camera lip. It still grabs the front of the phone, unlike Apple mag safe cases that seem to fall off phones when dropped - this case isn’t going anywhere unless you take it off.
Great case, great brand, and backed by a lifetime warranty. If any Pelican product has a problem, they take care of it pretty quickly after you contact them.
