Very chewy popcorn.

Not pleased with the results. Popcorn is VERY chewy. Have owned several similar oil poppers, and have never had this sort of problem. Have tried more and/or less oil, but that doesn't really help. Have tried spacers to raise the lid a bit to let more air in at the bottom. That helps a bit, but still overly chewy.

Very BAD Popcorn Popper

I bought this barely a month ago, and it is AWFUL!! The stirring rods are not straight, so popped corn gets clogged under them, they go so slow, it doesn't pop Orville Redenbacher popcorn to nice large pieces. Buy a Stir Crazy popcorn popper instead--they are WAY better.

The popcorn popper flamed up at the cord, where it attaches to the base. Sparked and flamed. It was horrifying!!!

I thought this would be a great popper since it is branded for the popcorn brand I always use. I have owned several stirring poppers of another brand and since they don't last long I thought I would try this one. It is inferior and makes overly chewy popcorn. It should be light and fluffy like Orville popcorn always pops. I'm very disappointed that a product endorsed by Redenbacher doesn't work well with his popcorn and a recommended oil. I'm not changing popcorn, but will definitely be tossing this popper. It's unfortunate because it has some good features that other poppers don't. It also has some bad features, such as the way the cord comes out of the bottom. It can get twisted easily and interfere with the popper sitting properly on the countertop. The stirrer attachment system is better than other poppers I have tried, but alas, it doesn't make good popcorn.

Does not work like it says. Barley popped any popcorn at all, pretty much just burned it.
Easy better to just go old school and pop it on the stove.

Have one that I have for 10+ years and it just keeps working. Use quality popcorn, keep it clean and learn how to use it.
Watch a movie theater make popcorn and duplicate what they do. This machine will make excellent popcorn.
