The performance is good so far after maybe 6 month of use. The two things I don't like are the stainless steal shows every finger print. Every time you push the open button and then close the door, the microwave looks like a mess. Also, I tend to use the timer a lot. My old model of this microwave beeped multiple times when the time had elapsed. This one beeps once and sometimes I don't hear it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We recommend wiping down the outside of the case with a damp microfiber cloth. We don't recommend using a lot of soap or water, as it can potentially damage the unit.

Additionally, check that the door is closing properly. Open and close the door firmly, without slamming it. This confirms the engagement of the door's safety mechanisms.

Too expensive

This works fine. But it was very costly- purchased to fit a particular niche in my kitchen. I believe it is way overpriced and it took forever to arrive.

Not as powerful as its predecessor, timer only dings ONCE????? If you aren’t in the room or playing loud music timer is useless. Buttons are hard to press. HATE IT!!!!

An adequate replacement

Had to replace an older version of this model which I never had one complaint. I only use the microwave for melting butter, popcorn and maybe reheating things once or twice a month. The old version worked like a charm. This one does not look as nice or as built in even with the very overpriced plastic trim kit.

control board

The GE micro wave works great. Just a little getting use to but caught on quickly. The reason I gave it 4 stars is seeing the control board. It would be nice that when you touch the board if the it was to light up to see it easier! If I don't have my glasses on our there is low light in kitchen the control board is had to read or press what you're looking for.

I HATE that I can not turn of the beeping! Even my 30 year old MO that I'm replacing had a "No Sound" option. WHO EVER APPROVED REMOVING THE 'NO SOUND' OPTION SHOULD BE FIRED!
