Great size, looks and functionality!

I needed a countertop microwave in white to coordinate with my new GE Café matte white appliances. I also needed a shallow depth to fit on a shelf in my new cabinetry. I had a kitchen remodel and this microwave fits perfectly all my criteria. It functions well and is a size that will perform all our microwave tasks. Glad GE made this shallow depth yet not super small microwave. I could not find this size in any other brand. Thanks, GE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed to replace a 20 yr old GE Spacesaver. I found this one that was almost identical to the old one. Fits in the space just the same. Hope it lasts as long.

GE profile microwaves with wifi

I cannot believe all these five-star reviews just because of the way a microwave looks and fits. What about the way it operates? We cannot use this microwave unless we have a certain size cup to heat water or a certain size bag of popcorn to pop our popcorn. In what world is this normal? I wouldn't have another one of these microwaves if you gave it to me.

Smaller Cavity and Unit is bigger

I am so disappointed in this microwave. I bought to replace the GE Profile (9.0 Cubic Foot) from 12 years ago. Then new one has a smaller cavity and a smaller turntable plate even though it is larger in size and cost 4 times as much. I realize things are more expensive today. Why did GE downsize the cavity? I am returning and will fix my old one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although this microwave oven is not as big as my last microwave/convention oven, I am pleased that (1) I have a microwave that will fits into the cubicle that my last countertop with built-in capability GE Profile microwave oven was in; and (2) that the controls are basically the same. Some features that I do not have: Clock- no AM/PM; just the time; of course, smaller capacity (1.5 cu ft to 1.1 cu ft); and went from 1000 watts to 800 watts. However, I can still use the oven for most everyday needs; and, so far, I do not really see a difference in the time needed to cook my food with 200 watt less - that's great! I am using the oven without the trim kit and it blends right in with the surroundings - very nice.
Will need to get used to the door lock feature - extra button to press to open door. Also, the buttons require more strength to push.
For a smaller capacity microwave oven, this model is great.

New because the olds one was discontinued
