Display panel hard to see

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We ordered and received an all-black microwave without seeing one on the display floor. When we tried using it, we found the display panel hard to use in regular lighting and could not use it in dim lighting. We used a flashlight to see the numbers/layout. The numbers and characters are in grey against a black background. I had to re-create the layout on a paper and attach it to the front of the panel. Now we are able to use the microwave at all times. I don't think the designers thought this out. I looked at other microwaves in the store and many if not all had white lettering whereas the one we purchased had grey or dark grey lettering. Other than that, the microwave works fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product does a great job of giving a lot of options. The only thing that’s not intuitive is that the microwave comes with the lock feature enabled. It you look in the manual you can disable it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Microwave Oven but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third GE Microwave. It is about the only one manufactured that is 24" wide and will mount under wall kitchen cabinets. I have had no problems with its capacity, with its power, with the way it works and can handle all the foods that I need to warm or prep. But it is the third because the interlock between the door and the power switch has broken twice on the previous models. When this is happening, you can't turn the unit off with the door closed. Once you open the door the unit stops the microwave radiation, but as soon as you close the door, it starts up again. No amount of hitting the cancel button works. Very frustrating because other than this problem, the oven works fine. But we had to have a towel draped over the door to keep it from closing. This is a possible fire hazard since with nothing inside the oven, it gets warmer and warmer as it runs. This time I purchased the extended warranty for five years, but as I recall, the problem with the last two ovens didn't start within five years of purchase. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

Hard to Read Buttons
