Sleek addition to our kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to replace an older microwave and are thrilled with the quality! We really like the slim and sleek design. Not having a handle to open the door was a nice feature, allowing for easier cleaning. Happily, now our kitchen is full of Kitchenaid appliances!

Too slow to respond

Everything about this microwave is great apart from the HUGE time lag between pressing a button and something happening (cooking, fan, light - all of it). It's extremely frustrating and I can only imagine it would be trivial for the manufacturer to address. It is so annoying that I considered returning the microwave. Ugh!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Update: I just used it for the first time to reheat some leftovers and I am overjoyed! It fit in the spot so smoothly, it’s flush.
Side note: Please MEASURE your space FIRST before purchasing it!!
It’s so quiet when it beeps to tell you your food is done and I like that( I HATE those loud annoying beeps other brands do) . It’s very spacious and sleek looking.

A big plus for someone who travels

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new black stainless steel Kitchaid Smart Microwave was delivered yesterday, and unfortunately the old metal cabinets in my hundred year old Victorian home weren't compatible with installation. However I'm currently remodeling my kitchen, and new wooden cabinets have been ordered. I'm currently the enjoying the benefits of the microwave sitting on the counter until my cabinets arrive. First of all, let me say the microwave is very appealing with it's sharp, shiny and sleek design. The inside is smaller in height, but is long and wide enough to fit a 9"x 13 casserole dish. However is for the various options of cooking, reheating, defrosting and melting. The sound of the microwave is nicely quiet, and the fans have an option to set from low to high speed. The dual fan ventilation helps to clear smoke and grease in the air, when the microwave is over the oven. Another benefit of this microwave is the option to use the WiFi capabilities, and connect to the Kitchen Aid app on your smartphone or android. It's a convenient way to manage your cooking settings and monitor the progress of what your cooking. There is also an option in the app to use voice command with Alexa or Google Assistant. My experience with the microwave so far has been really good, with the exception finding additional informatiion about the settings option on the control panel. I couldn't figure out how to set the date and time, however after I turned off the remote on the control panel it rebooted the microwave. There's a packet of information, such as a quick guide for using the microwave and for installation. However I was very frustrated when I couldn't find any information about certain things about the microwave online, and calling Whirlpool did me no good. Overall I'm really impressed with my Kitchaid Smart Low profile Microwave, and I've already used the different setting modes. I've cooked, reheated and defrosted some food and the microwave works very well. There's also a self cleaning option, which is very convenient. You also can use a soft cloth with soap and water to clean. I really appreciate the Wifi capabilities, and downloading the app was very easy. The other day I wanted to how well the KitchenAid app worked, so I put in a casserole meal I pepared, went in to the other room and adjusted the cooking time from my phone. It's very convenient, but honestly I don't think I will be using it much, but the convenience of the option is there. I do recommend the KitchenAid Smart microwave for anyone who likes the efficiency and convenience of the smart capabilities of a microwave. A big plus for someone who travels alot and wants their meal ready when they get home. In my opinion this microwave is solely based on it's efficiency and smart capabilities

Coolest microwave ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I are absolutely thrilled to have this microwave! We have never had such a convenient, technological microwave. This lovely appliance is very quiet when heating food, even the chime when it’s done is pleasant. The installation took us about an hour, so it was quick. It seems very well made and durable. It looks great in our kitchen and, BONUS, gives us more counter space. I’ve shown it to a bunch of my family and they all want one! Love this appliance!!

High Tech Microwave

The overhead light is bright and the fan works well. I also was surprised at how quiet it is when running. Overall I am very happy with this microwave.

Amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave is a huge upgrade from what we had before. It is nice and slim, so you have more room over your stove for cooking. The light is amazing as you can change the warmth of the LEDs from soft white, cool white, and daylight. It was very easy to setup and has so many different features that my wife and I love. This microwave is definitely worth it!
