Horrible Clanking Sounds

I bought this fan as I like the style. Upon turning it on it was immediately clanky, rattling and noisy. I couldn't hear the TV at all. The only speed that doesn't rattle away is the highest speed. It is really bad!

Absolutely fantastic

I've used this fan every singe night, for the past 10+ years, to help me fall asleep. Every couple of months I use compressed air to blow the dust out of the motor compartment, and it's always ran like a champ. I fear the day that this fan no longer works (and Vornado quits making this model) as there is nothing else out on the market today that can beat the quality of Vornado. I'm far from kidding when I say that I am contemplating purchasing a second fan and not using it until the first dies. My only complaint is that the On/Off speed switch is made of cheap plastic. At one point in the fans life, the switch cracked, which made it useless. Vornado would not sell me a replacement switch, so I was forced to mail the fan back to them for repair. The fan is HEAVY, so shipping was crazy expensive.
Pros: Built to last, Durable
Cons: Cheap On/Off fan speed switch

Rim that holds back & front grills together

There was dust on fan blades that needed to be cleanrd. Removed circular rim last week and spent better part of my Sunday trying to reattach rim. My fan now sits there. I have reached out to Vornado Help .com site. I will keep you informed
