Not what I expected

This was my first ever sewing machine, so you can imagine how excited I was, but it was a real disappointment… this machine jammed SO much, it’s not even funny. I’ve tried everything: rewinding, carefully placing, wax, conditioner, quality thread, easy fabrics— nothing worked. I wasn’t learning with this machine at all, so I finally returned it will all my disappointment. (Side note: the pedal sensitivity has very poor control. Lightly pressing just makes a whirring sound, pressing a little harder and the machine bolts.) Anyway, I really wouldn’t recommend this machine to anyone, especially someone trying to learn.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The machine works well but putting the bobbin in the bobbin case was not as easy as they claim. Also not used to the levers being plastic. It’s good for a basic machine.

Missing some features

I recently bought this machine when my last singer died (31 years old). I was in the middle of a project and didn't do lost of research. Purchased this model best of recommendations from my quilting cousin. Sews find but missing key features from my old model: right needle position and top loading bobbin. Returned and bought model HD6380. So far so go.
