The quality was decent, but the execution was not finger. Slot was too small magnet was very weak and I think the finger slot apparatus would hold up overtime.
I’ve had these for years. V5 ruins the design. They claim they switched to a magnet-only design, but this still comes with the adhesive ring, ostensively for Android. I needed the ring to make this work with my iPhone. It just falls off without it. You would think that if this no longer requires the adhesive that the magnets are stronger. They’re weaker. With it secured to the phone with the adhesive ring, this still doesn’t with MagSafe accessories, even OhSnaps own MagSafe chargers. The phone barely sticks and frequently falls off. V5 is just them saving money by using less, smaller or cheaper magnets.
So I have been using Snap Grips for a few years and love them. Best design, wireless charging worked great with my iPhone and the grips. Made it super simple as I use no case and was the best setup for a iPhone I've ever found. My old snap grip broke after a year of usage so I ordered a new one the Snap Grip 5 I guess. Well it no longer works with conductive charging at all. They basically removed one of the best features of this device. I had no idea what was going on until I started to research it more. This was by DESIGN? They say to just take off the snap grip before wireless charging. Issue is I work at a desk and put my phone on and off a wireless stand magnetic all day. I'm not going to add and remove the grip 40 times a day. Massive design fail in this new version and I'm super sorry to write this review as I really loved this game changing product. At least give us the option to buy the old version of Snap Grip that worked great for wireless charging.
These grips are great. They are thin and have multiple grip options. The magnets stick to most things but it is all over the board. The grip won't hold your iPhone on most gym equipment, while with other things, it is impossible to remove the grip once it sticks. My biggest critique is the soft plastic coating they add. Sure, it feels nice, but it doesn't take long for it to start coming off, and then the grip looks like trash. I've had two of these, and they've done the same thing.
