I was really excited about this product. When I first originally got it I didn’t use it right away -but after 6 months of use, the snap doesn’t snap back down. It’s really frustrating because you pay so much and it doesn’t do it it’s supposed to do. I have also bought other products and none of them work properly- again paid a lot of money and they are just in a bag not working. Not happy!!
I love everything about this -- the aluminum, the color, the thin, the light weight, the magnets, everything ....... but my snap 3 pro had no trouble sticking to my case and my snap 4 lux keeps coming off. Same phone, same case, same snap mount. Two different luxe 4s -- the phone falls off the snap mount with the 4 luxe still on the mount and the phone on the floor. Never happened with my snap 3 pro. Support was responsive and sent me a free replacement, will come back and give 5 stars if the third time is the charm ....
The snap 4 luxe is by far the best snap grip they've made so far. My only problem with this snap is that I've been having problems with the adhesive moving and getting caught on the rotating chamber part of the grip. Causing it to get stuck, preventing me from being able to rotate the grip. I've purchased 2 snap grips and the adhesive was ruined on both of them in less than a month. Also, despite the grip being thin I still can't use the wireless charger with a case, even with the thinnest case I could find I still can't wireless charge it.
I thoroughly enjoy how thin the snap is. I always added a ring to my phone case and thought this would be my upgraded experience. Using it like a pop-socket is great. I’m slowly starting to figure out how to open with one hand. I do miss the security of threading a finger through the hole. The few times I did, it seemed to bend one of the arms so now I only do it when I think I need very secure hold on my phone. Before closing I have to make sure the arms aren’t bent. I had to upgrade my charging station for one with a stronger magnet but that wasn’t a big deal. The kickstand worked well and allowed me to use my iPhone in standby mode as my clock while travelling . Overall I’d recommend for anyone who wants to replace their pop socket. If you preferred a ring like I did… it isn’t 100% the replacement but still VERY useful. Bonus…it is a great fidget gadget playing with the spinning or lightly popping the edges while in my pocket or even in the table.
Very helpful after you get the hang of it. Mine slid off after a trip to Jamaica. May have been the humidity (which doesn't bode well for summer in Baltimore even if I hadn't gone to Jamaica). I plan to glue it back on, so I'll see how that goes.
