Nearly perfect phone grip!

I recently upgraded my iphone 13 pro max to a 17 pro max and wanted a "pop socket" type of holder to pair with my new case/phone. First impression, was incredible right out of the awesome packaging! Really love how the color matched the phone. Using the grip took some adjusting, but the slimmer profile and magnetic functionality is well worth it. That being said, I am slightly disappointed that only 1 of 4 magsafe chargers I have work with the snap grip while on my case. None of my apple magsafe chargers work with the case and snap grip on. The magnets are also not strong enough to fully support a 17 pro max in case with the snap grip on a magnetic surface that is smooth, it will slowly slide down/off of the surface it is on. Would love to see future models be able to support magsafe charging with ALL cases and phones and magsafe chargers. Overall the functionality is a huge improvement from the traditional pop socket.....and I spin my phone in circles all the time now lol.

I’ve been buying ohsnap grips since the 2nd gen, I think. These are the most comfortable, most versatile, and most absentmindedly entertaining grips imaginable. It’s been fun watching the design change and improve upon itself again and again.

I can't believe it

Im truly confused to be writing this review, I've loved snapgrip over the last several years I've used them, the 4 was by far my favorite grip aside from the original. The 5 was *almost* perfect. But the no adhesive hasn't been working great as well as the orientation or what magic it may be that used to have killer hold, doesn't. Just going from portrait to landscape can make my grip fall off, pressing the volume buttons while finger is in the grip will make it fall off, I doesn't hold onto my car mounts badly enough I've swapped back to a clamp style. I even tried it with their ring and on several different magsafe cases as my phone doesn't natively have it, maybe that's the difference but I couldn't say for sure, but it made no difference. I'm about to put back on my one of my grip3's as I gifted my grip4 to a buddy thinking I wouldn't still want it. Ohsnap, I love you guys and I love your product, up until the grip 5, maybe I'm just unlucky. I'm honestly giving it 2 stars because I love the company too dang much to leave a 1 star

Expensive and Unimpressive

I bought this to use for my iPhone 14 Pro Max which I usually keep in a case (think Speck/Sonix thickness - aka nothing ridiculously heavy/thick).This grip stays on the phone like glue, but if you actually want to use it as advertised, it fails. The plastic between the base and top to use it as a phone grip/popsocket is flimsy, and constantly bends the wrong way so it doesn't fold flat easily. Any surface I stick it to (fridge, whiteboard, etc.) it slides right off.I have a Spotify Car Thing and have used the CD Slot mount as my phone holder for awhile now. Apple's MagSafe feature is not strong enough (or the right shape) to fit onto the Spotify Car Thing properly so I keep a magnet in my phone case in order to use the Spotify Car Thing as a phone mount. I was hoping I could use this in replacement of keeping a magnet in my phone case, and use this to stick to the Car Thing instead. This has failed horribly. I love a good popsocket type grip but the OhSnap Snap Grip fails in almost every category it advertises. I have no desire to purchase this again, and would return it if I could.

Love the design and kickstand concept, but the magnet just doesn’t cut it. It slides off way too easily and doesn’t feel secure in daily use. It also doesn’t fully cover the Apple logo on a clear case, leaving a bit exposed at the bottom which looks off aesthetically. Add in some wireless charging interference and questionable durability for the price, and it leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe it’s defective but the older model seemed stronger. I do LOVE the car mount and wallet!

Slim but barely functional

The profile is very slim which is nice and the magnet is pretty strong but where it sticks to the phone makes it hard to use only one hand properly. Also the phone wouldn't charge and got really hot while on the charging pad.

It functions just the way they say. However, having a different type of grip for the past 10ish years, i definitely prefer the other. The Snap Grip does not act as a kickstand, nor is it easy to get your fingers into and hold onto your phone. For me, it is a two handed operation just to get my fingers into it. Once i get my fingers in it, it functions ok. It does NOT stick well. The magnet is NOT strong enough to withstand a drop, without falling off and bouncing away from the phone. Had i seen more reviews like this one, i would have strayed away, as my biggest worry is the thing popping off and me dropping my phone. I bought two snap grips and i have one on an Iphone and one on a Samsung. Neither one holds strong.

The old ones had better magnets and you couldn’t lose them

I bought a new case which meant I needed an new Oh Snap, I already lost the old one and so did my husband with his. Also the phone doesn’t stay in place on the fridge or ladders like the old ones did. They slide down. Bring back the old ones please!
