Not Like My First One

I had my first oh snap with my new iPhone 15. I was skeptical at first because it didn’t seem like it could hold up. but it was AWESOME! for 3 years it lasted until the plastic started to tear and it was time for a new one. Unfortunately, since then they made a couple changes like taking off the sticker on the back and just going with the mag. ok, but now the frame on mine wiggles separately and that’s pretty annoying. second, I don’t know what they did with the mags, but this one barley sticks to my charger. instead of the old secure snap that I used to get, now I have to gently place it over the mag to find the point it will stick and not fall off. just disappointed. I can live with the annoying frame wiggle or the crap mags separately but together just made this purchase more of a bummer. Sucks you guys couldn’t continue to make the old one. this one seems like there was some cutting of costs since the first one I got. I used to tell everyone how sweet this thing was, now I’m probably not going to buy another one.

The new non tape models are terribly flawed

After a few years of using the original oh snap the wife and I ordered both of the new magnet models. They are comparably terrible. On both of our desktop genuine Apple MagSafe chargers barely hold the phone and it will fall off. It’s like 25% of the magnetism of the first gen. I end up having to take it off to charge my phone. This is how you take a wonderful product, get a couple rabid fans and lose them. I really hate this new one and I’m sad I ran out of tape to reuse my old one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I saw an ad for these and was intrigued by the super slim design. I hate when my grip makes my phone uneven when I set it down.I loved the packaging. Opening it was fun. It definitely takes a while to get used to using it! I do find myself playing with it a lot. It's for sure more difficult to pull out and use than a pop socket or loop. But it is about the same thickness as my camera bump which works out great. Magnet is very strong.

I love the materials and how quality it feels. Great magnetic connection. Definitely lives up to the hype. My only concern is how hot it gets when wirelessly charging. I've taken it off for longer charging sessions.

I like the thin profile, ease of opening and the color is great! Waiting to see how the parts hold up as they are so thin. So far pleased. It’s way to open but it doesn’t open as wide as other brands at the start so it’s fumbly to get bigger fingers around it. And with bigger fingers the one finger grip isn’t happening but that’s no big deal. My biggest drawback is the strength of the magnet to mount it to a base in the car with the Oh Snap on. It need to be a little stronger as just bumping it with my hand can cause it to fall off. I’m using a syncwire magic mout vent style car mount as I didn’t want to stick an oh snap mount to the surfaces of my car.
