I'm so annoyed with this. For a premium product, it should be at least as easy to use as earlier versions. The 1.0/2.0 had a bar instead of a disc, so you could easily use it one handed by just sliding a finger under it in a very natural way. I need two hands to use this, so I still don't have an easy way to grab my phone on a bicycle and check directions with confidence. No matter how I try, because it's a circle I can't orient with just my hands so it's also not easy to find the way to grab this without looking at the back of your phone. I don't think it was tested with people with long hair because after a call using my phone instead of headphones this morning, it pulled out several strands of my hair where there's a thin lip between the grip and the back of my phone. The kickstand requires a level of precision that's really frustrating. The thin rigid plastic disc on the back is so thin it feels sharp, and the arms that hold it to the ring require a lot of massaging to work my finger into. Also, I would never have bought the VIP protection and was surprised to see it in my cart but I think I'm glad this accidentally happened because after 24 hours nothing about its use is appealing to me, especially considering how much I paid for this.
Honestly, the structure under the flange looks flimsy but no failure so far, but I am quite clumsy and can accidentally break nearly anything! But weeks into using this, it’s going better than my previous product that fell off somewhere out in the world due to a week magnet. I am embarrassed to say I haven’t figured out the kickstand function.
I finally gave into the hype and purchased mine. I wasn't thrilled about the adhesive assist but I did it anyway because I wanted to give this a fair shot. I let it "cure" for over 24 hours and started to use it like I normally would. Magsafe charger at work. Magsafe stand at home. Every time I tried to pick up my phone, the Luxe 4 would stick to the charger and not my phone. I chalked it up to just bad luck but then on my efforts to pry it off my charger, the whole thing fell apart. On paper, this thing sounds great. In reality, it just didn't measure up. And I really wanted it to be good.
I love how this looks, and how low profile this is. Unfortunately, the stand seems a bit flimsy and my phone often falls over when it’s in the vertical position on the stand.
This grip is fantastic if you've been using a pop style holder. I had switched to a ring style, and my fingers are too large to comfortably fit in the grip w/o worrying I am bending it out of shape. It's a little weird to get used to, but very comfortable, and I'm learning to use a two finger grip. My only hiccup so far is that the magnet ring on the back is too wide to work with the magnetic holder I have in my car, so I have had to find a new car mount. The kickstand also randomly collapses occasionally, which is mildly annoying but not a deal breaker. All in all I'm pleased with it.
i have been using Snap for all our cars. i had an issue with one of the units a year later and they were WONDERFUL. thank you...i am a loyal long termer now!
