Not as good as the older version...

I had a Snap grip on my last phone case and loved it. I used it so much I broke it. So when I had to get a new case, I had to get another one. I got the luxe version this time because I thought being made of metal and the stronger magnets would be even better than the last one. It’s not. The adhesive is weak and the first time I took it off my car mount, the grip stayed on the mount. Now I have to pry it off my car mount each time and there’s a ring of adhesive residue on my case. Also, I loved the “fidget” capabilities of the older version, but the luxe version doesn’t spin freely when I have it on my phone. There isn’t enough clearance between the moving parts and the phone case. It does spin easily when it’s not on my case. When I try to use it as a kickstand, the grip doesn’t “tuck in” behind the tab very well and the phone just falls over. I frequently use the magnets to hold my phone at work so I keep using it, but I’m not happy with the product overall.
It’s everything I wanted and more! Love that it spins and is magnetic. Two added benefits that no other product has. I will definitely keep buying these!
Love this product! Would recommend 100%Had an issue with my and reached out to the company. They resolved my issue instantly. That alone gives them 100%
This grip is ok if you risk not having a phone case and also want to charge it on the MagSafe charger. The snap grip luxe does not do what it claims. It will not charge through my apple silicon phone case which is the most minimal of phone cases. I placed it several times directly over all magnets in alignment and it fails after 30 secs and repeatedly connects and disconnects. Thumbs down. Once I remove the snap grip charging resumes as normal. The grip is also not entirely made of aluminum as it claims. The middle portion is plastic. Overall, a really good advertising scam.
I recently had a failure of some of the connecting plastic for the pop out. I reached out via email for a replacement and they took care of me right away. I think I had the new replacement in hand the next week. I will never use another phone holder (unless they drop a new upgrade!)
The grip as a kickstand is not working at all. It’s tiny. Don’t promote it as such. Very misleading advertising. Using it to charge via “MagSafe” does not work with my Casetify case. It would make sounds like it was working and then not working. I saw once I got the product a disclaimer that it might only work with certain thinner cases. You failed to note that in your promotional video. Speaking of, that was one of the most cleverly done product videos I’ve seen. Kudos for the creativity. Your goal was to say it worked better than any other options and it literally did everything. I was convinced. BUT IT IS FALSE ADVERTISING.
i had the old grip 3, and i swear that thing lasted for about a year or so. since luxe came out, i decided to get an upgrade. once it got mailed and shipped, i install it. the first thing that happened was that the actual inner holder broke off from the magnet. now, I had to supe glue it back on to the magnet (which lost its ability to rotate, which was a huge selling point for me.) the fix lasted only for about 2 days, until the whole thing just popped off constantly. unfortunately, i had to use the replacement from my grip 3, which I presumed that it had a stronger grip, and i was right. about 5 months later, the entire luxe grip just kept ripping off of the adhesive sticker. now all that's left is the adhesive from the grip 3.i was satisfied with the quality of the old grip, but im surprised that this new version was more of a downgrade.
I have this a shot since the old popsocket I was using before fell apart. Even though I thought it was kind of expensive, it was well worth the money. Being able to just stick my phone to anything magnetic (like the fridge or my desk backdrop) is crazy useful. Also the fact that it can twist/spin means that the phone can move slightly towards my thumb when I try to reach across the screen one handed. Rated comfort a 4 because the plastic legs can be a teeny tiny bit scratchy on my finger but it’s not really a problem. Also I don’t see how the engineers/designers could fix that since they’re trying to keep the whole model light and flexible and durable.
