I had an original Ohsnap grip on my phone for the last three years and loved it. However, the new version (while sleek) is much less useful. Without the cutouts on the inner circle, I can't just pop open the fingerloop while holding the phone. There are some ways to kind of do it, as they show in the video, but it is much more finicky. I have almost dropped my phone several times trying to open the grip. Also, the new folding mechanism is fancy, but doesn't hold on to my finger securely like the old one with elastic. (To be fair, I have small fingers.) Even using the kickstand is more annoying because the circle design makes it more likely to tip. Yes, it is very thin, very sleek, and seems very durable, but I am just not finding it as useful as the old one. Overall disappointed, I will be finding something else.
The product is amazing when used with iPhones prior to iPhone 16. Had it on my 13 and it was amazing, had it for over a year. When I bought this green one for my new iPhone 16, the glue doesn’t stick very well because of the new material for the phone. So the grip will get separated from the phone. I’ve tried buying extra glue from you guys and still comes off. I’ve let it sit for full 24 hours before using the magnet and still comes off. Will definitely buy again when they improve the glue quality .
Ordered 2 for my Samsungs. Very cool concept... but the "one handed" function opening is kinda... not true. And it needs to be bigger for fat finger people with big hands. (I laughed at the idea of a dog paw fitting.) My old wireless charger also no longer works. I suppose I'll have to get a magsafe charger to work with this. Also. The "kickstand" feature kinda flops because its too small to stand up right. It takes two hands... one to hold the phone and the other to kinda... stretch the prop out as youre settling it down before it... or else it collapses and falls over. Everything else... the thin factor, the magnet, the swivel, the tactile and audible click for the fidget happy... it's good. I do like it... and I will probably get a new charger to continue using... but it is over priced, IMO. ...Presumably to cover the amazing marketing and phenomenal packaging.
Great to start. After only a few weeks, the hinges stop folding in place and start bunching up so it doesn’t snap back in place. It’s happened to both Snap Grip Luxe’s I’ve had. Ended up cutting the middle hinges off to make room for the others to snap close.
The product works fine, every now and then the plastic mechanism that folds tends to fold incorrectly and will stop me from collapsing the grip. The paint finish rubs off fairly easy, for example I had my phone in my running pouch along with only my plastic key fob. After my run a good spot had rubbed off. So it’s unfortunate, because now it looks not as sleek...all in all it does what it’s supposed to do. Just not super impressed. The return process, isn’t desirable either because I can’t justify having to pay for shipping on this little disk both the purchase and the return. So now I’m stuck with this rough looking grip. Oh well, lesson learned. **ALSO** the magsafe charging DOES NOT work with my Apple and Anker MagSafe portable chargers. Product quality and value for money I give it a 3 out of 5. Hope this review helps you guys make a decision.
