Maybe works with newer phones, I'd avoid it on iPhone 11

I saw a video of this and it looked useful to be able to magnetize my phone to metal equipment while I'm working on something. I attached it to a magsafe iPhone 11 case (that charged with magsafe and qi pads) prior. The magnet part of it is great, I barely used the pop-socket type of ability it has, but once in awhile I did. I'm not the type of person who ever drops my phone or sets it upright on a table so those features really didn't mean anything to me. I had two major issues with this product however. Firstly, it would no longer even attempt to charge on a normal qi charging pad. With a magsafe charging pad, it would attach, and beep like it's going to charge, but it would never charge. Like not even 1% after being left on the pad for hours. The second issue is it drains my battery. I don't know how or why, but my phone battery would lose a charge at such a massive rate, I'd have to plug it in and charge it at least 3x a day. The last straw was I went to bed last night and my phone was at 41%. My phone was set to Focus (do no disturb) mode the entire night, and shouldn't have given me any notifications, lock screen light ups - nothing until 5:45am when my alarm went off and focus shut off. I woke up at around 3am and tapped on my phone to see what time it was while going to the bathroom and it was completely dead. I got a spoon and pried the thing off and put it on a qi charging pad and was back to normal.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn't Stick

Nothing that the snap grip came with will stick to the S24 Ultra. Not even the vynl sticker. The closest I got was some after market adhesive and even that couldn't get a grip. Make sure to plan on sticking this to a case of some sort if you plan to buy it, and don't rely on wireless charging either. It doesn't work. It will charge for a minute and then shut off due to the magnet, even with it attached to the phone directly. I like the stand though.

I was so excited to get this flat popsocket. I just figured it would work fine after all the positive reviews. I did all the steps to make it stick but it just wouldn't. I'm going to get super glue to see if that will hold it. It won't stay on just while using it. So disappointed and its not cheap either. Everyone in my office building thought it was a lot to pay. Maybe I got a bad one IDK. My sons snap grip works on his, with the same phone/case. Disappointed 😞

Best grip i’ve had

I am not usually fond of leaving reviews but this product definitely needs one. I have had mine for some time now and i am impressed at the quality of this one in particular. It is sturdy, does not come off whatsoever. I just upgraded to the snap wallet so my current one is going on my work phone! I also use it with the accessory to mount on mirror and its also great!! Price is a bit on the high end, but then again, this is a high-end product. Kuddos!

I’ve been searching for a grip that actually functions as advertised. I was so excited to get this grip and so disappointed when it came. The locking mechanism to have the phone on its side or standing up WAS A FAIL. The positioning of the grip to put it on the finger WAS A FAIL. So still searching...

Great grip, poor charging...

Overall, it's been a really good grip, my only gripe is the MagSafe charging experience has not been the best. I didn't realize it wasn't charging my phone anywhere near as fast as it should. My case is a Mous, WITH magnets in the case, and it has always charged great with the phone in my case. I feel confident the alignment with the OhSnap is good because I can feel where the magnets are when placing the OhSnap, it wants to align just one way. I realized the problem when I got home from work and my phone was very low on juice. I don't use my phone at work, except my 2 30 minute breaks, and I only browsed thew web. When I got home, I was very low power. I looked at my battery usage, and Facebook was what I used most during break, and that's not a demanding app. Next day I paid closer attention to the battery power levels when I woke up, and that's when I realized what was happening... I wasn't starting my days at 100% anymore! Very disappointed with this aspect of the grip. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max if that matters. I'll be using the grip, just not sure if I'll be removing it to charge or using the wire. Only giving 3/5 stars for this as I feel it's a major selling point of the grip. Thinness is great, seems good otherwise, but would say to be aware you may have a less-than-optimal charging experience. I'm not blaming my case here as it has the magnet in it too and works great on its own. I've also done research and heard others complain as well, pointing to issues with the aluminum in the ring compared to earlier offerings.

Poor Quality

The only thing that I like about this product is that it’s low profile. The plastic disk is hard to maneuver. It’s flimsy and it often won’t retract. The kickstand does not work. I would love this if it was metal or a much stronger material. You are on to something with this product but it needs to be revamped. I also got the car mount which is garbage. It doesn’t stay sticky and falls off.

Hard to beat

TLDR- this grip holds up well, is easily moved to a new case, and the charge through function is super handy.I bought the luxe grip about a year ago for my iPhone 15 pro max and used it until I upgraded to the 16 pro max. I didn’t trust their claims that it could be removed and used on another case, and I wanted to be able to swap MagSafe accessories so I bought a MagSafe ring grip instead. That’s exactly what lead to me writing this review. During those months without my oh snap grip, I was constantly annoyed because I obviously had to remove the ring grip to charge my phone and I would forget to grab it in the morning or would knock it off my night stand and have to search for it. The ability to charge through the grip doesn’t seem like that big of a deal but it really is a simple thing that just makes life easier. I have tiny hands so holding such a large phone without a grip just isn’t comfortable. Another thing I learned to appreciate is the fact the oh snap grip really does stay on the phone until you purposely remove it. I drop my phone a LOT, and most of the time the ring grip would pop off and I’d end up hunting it down. It was especially annoying when driving since I use a magnetic mount. My luxe grip is admittedly pretty scuffed up from all the drops it endured but it always stayed put. I recently bought a second case for my 16 pro max, and the ring grip I’ve only had for 2 months is barely useable so I decided to test how reusable the oh snap grip really is. It was easy enough to remove from the 15 case it was still living on, and I was surprised to see it left next to no residue that was easily wiped off even after a year of being on the case. I popped it right on to the new phone case and sure enough, it’s just as secure as it was on the first case. The mechanism still works perfectly and is honestly much more comfortable than the ring ever was. It also has a much stronger hold when attaching my phone to metal surfaces. The oh snap grip is also thin enough to easily use with other accessories. If you’re on the fence I can tell you these grips are well worth buying.
