I've been a Pop Socket user for many years. I appreciate the ease of use and overall durability, but the mag safe one I got for my new phone was a big disappointment. So. Bulky. Enter the OhSnap Grip. Way slimmer. No longer have to remove it to charge. Even works with the teeny tiny dash magnet that came with my case (I was concerned about this, as I had to remove the Pop Socket to use the dash mount prior to the Snap Grip). But to my amazement, it grabs it just fine!Slides in and out of my pocket great. Sure it does feel a little flimsy, and that's been everyone's first comment when they ask to see it, but so far it's holding up just fine. I do struggle a little to get it situated properly between my fingers, and more so to use it with my finger through the grip, but so far the pros outweigh the little bit of hassle for me. I'm rarely in such a hurry that I can't take the extra moment to spin it a few degrees, however this is the design feature which could use more fine tuning (I'll be watching for a 5.0 lol). The kickstand works as expected, although not a feature I utilize very often. I have no worries of it coming off, and it does stick to metal surfaces even with my heavy S25 Ultra + case. The case is also magnetic so I'm not sure if that helps or has more or less effect than the Snap Grip itself.Ps I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 12 chickens, a gecko, a chinchilla, and a toad, but was required to only choose one so I picked dog person because mine was the best girl today and saved my chickens from a fox.
...so this is my 3rd Snap Grip, needless to say I LOVE this product. Aside from its function, its form is amazing; laser-thin profile with a quality finish. My last two Snap Grips were matte black, this last Snap Grip I went with Crocodile Green to contrast with my matte black case. One of my favorite characteristics about the Snap Grip that I use daily is the extra magnetic feature. I use it to stick onto gym equipment, cell phone holder in my car, even the onto the refrigerator when I'm cooking in the kitchen! Not to mention the occasional kick-stand use when needed. I've also become a fan of their commercials on social media, well played ohsnap! ;)
I purchase the double thinking I’d really enjoy this purchase, I have had my snap case and while I like the magnetic features the finger polymer broke and I have to fix it every time I close it. Haven’t considered a return yet...
On the plus side, I liked the appearance, low profile and ease of installation. It didn’t open as easy for me as it seemed to for the folks in the video. I was not able to open it without holding it in front of me to see what I was doing. I take a lot of quick action photos and videos of my dogs, so i want to be able to snap it open as it comes out of my back pocket so the phone is ready to go in seconds. I guess you could say I’m a quick draw with the camera. I also found that it was fussy getting the flat piece in position for the times I wanted to use it as a kick stand to prop up the phone. It doesn’t work well if you want the phone held in portrait position (bad angle on the phone in portrait for video calls). Pop socket ended up being a better fit for my uses.
I was so excited to try out this snap grip. I have multiple different wireless charging / power pods and none of them charge through. Super disappointed. I really like this and it is comfortable but I bought it to stop having to take off my pop socket everything time I charge my phone. Sad I will be going back to popsocket :(
I have been using my snap grip for a few weeks now. I do like it but as the description says it’s good not great. Things I love... That I can charge through it, this feature is 5 stars. The different ways I can get a secure grip on my phone. The biggest disappointment which dropped my rating from a 5 to 4 star for me was the kickstand or what I would say is a lack of a kickstand. When I do occasionally get it function as a kickstand a light touch knocks it over, any movement and my phone topples.
I love the grip not only because it is easy to use, but the fact that it is basically a fidget object for me. The kickstand is fantastic and holds my phone up where others did not (S24 Ultra- so it's kinda large) and the 1 or 2 finger grip option is great for the weight of my phone and helps with reminding me not to use my pinky for support. I love the magnetic feature that allows me to stick it on the microwave when I am cooking and need to refer to the recipe. All in all, I think its a great product and though I was a little skeptical about hte price at first, I do think that it is worth it. So far, 5/5. Would recommend!
