I bought a snap five because I wanted the color to match my phone and now it does, but this new grip doesn’t attach as well to the phone mount in my car or my charger. Also, the crib falls off easily from the phone because it doesn’t have the adhesive like the 4. I have an iPhone and had to attach the additional sticker Magnet so that it can stay on my phone securely. So right now I have to take out the grip to attach it to those items which is annoying.
Charging with the OhSnap attached has been less effective than just temporarily removing it.Specifically, in one hour of charging with the OhSnap attached, my iPhone charged 17% from being at 0%. When the OhSnap is detached, it took 40 minutes to fully charge to 100% from 0%.Additionally, the bigger concern was that the OhSnap was VERY hot to the touch and I couldn’t hold my phone after it attempted to charge. Think, hot coffee cup without a sleeve on it. Disappointed the charging only kind of works. But fine to remove the OhSnap temporarily... but if I would have known this, I may have found a more fun version from a different company. The biggest pro of the OhSnap is its slim profile. It does sit below the bump of the iphone17 and so I am pleased with that.
was exited to try this new phone furniture, only to be disappointed . Although the profile and the functionality of Snap Grip is nice, the two & single finger holder is too small for me
I have really enjoyed the different snap grips. I have had the 2, 4, and now the 5 and each time the new feature(s) have been worth the upgrade. The 4 and 5 are very similar but the big improvement for me was being able to remove the grip from my phone/case for charging on a wireless charge mat (since the mat won't charge through the grip and case) without removing the whole case since it is adhesive-free. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it seems like the rear magnets are weaker in this one compared to my snap grip 4. So it doesn't feel like it magnetizes to my snap mount or snap charge as well and also it slid down a file cabinet a good bit when left for about 30 min.
Love the no adhesive part but snap does not stick to metal or MagSafe care mount. They try to blame the camera humo but the magnetics are that weak and should fix or refund me my money. Almost broke my phone because I expected this to stick to metal like the 4 I had.
It’s a cool product for sure and works well. It is very fragile and breaks easily. I had the center pop out part completely separate from the magnetic ring rendering it useless. Company will only offer you a small discount on your next product instead of standing by.
I had the Grip 4 on my old phone, and the Snap 5 is a great upgrade without the adhesive. I can take it on and off as I need, and it's as low profile and effective as always.
