Magnets don't work. Does not stick to any ohsnap car mounts or charging mounts.

Serious downgrade from my prior Snap Grip 4. Repeatedly fell off car mounts, charging mounts (all ohsnap brand). I'm surprised that my phone didn't break.
Strong magnet - yes! Keep on your phone while charging - yes! What bummed me out is the feel of the top disk - for some reason I thought it would be metal or have that heavier feel even though it's plastic. Oh well. I gave it to my husband and he likes it.
I can't charge it on my apple charge station. I have to take it off. Initially it didn't open unless I pushed and slid the top. Now it doesn't close all the way.
I use my phone one-handed a lot so I was excited to get this. But after using it frequently for the first two days it no longer stays closed. I checked the FAQs and it says the check if any of the little ‘arms’ are bent the wrong way, and they aren’t. If I have to avoid using it so that it will shut what’s the point of having it?
I'll start with the positives. The adhesive worked well and the spinner part also worked as advertised. I also liked how slim it was. Now for the bad news. The two main features I wanted to work well didn't work well. The kickstand didn't keep my phone upright as I wanted. My phone would stay upright at all. Also the device kept my phone from being able to be charged. I'm guessing my phone case wasn't helping. I ended up throwing it away. If I can't wirelessly charge my phone then this thing is useless to me. Sorry.
The adhesive is needed to fully secure to your phone. The older models are better. The magnet isn't as powerful too. It falls off my anker stand really easily.
My husband and I recently upgraded to the snap grip 5, but we noticed that we can’t just stick our phones to stuff anymore as easily. Magnet mounts work fine but I used to be able to just stick my phone to the fridge and door frames—anything metal—and now my phone just slides down. The magnet isn’t as strong on the outside as the 4 was. It sticks to the phone a lot better, but not to other surfaces. Super disappointing because they aren’t cheap. We’ve been using oh snap for a few years now and we are really disappointed.
