Good but not as strong as expected

I had the previous generation, stick on, type ohsnap. It has a way stronger magnetic mount to accessories than this current version. I kind of wonder if they reduced the strength rather than upped it so that it sticks more to the phone than it would to the accessory, making it appear to have stronger attachment to the phone.
Probably going to return it. Kickstand doesn’t work reliably. Finger grip feature best for small or medium fingers. My meaty digits barely (uncomfortably) fit, especially in single digit mode. Like the form factor in terms of thin & strong magnetic bond with case. Seems i have to take it off for magsafe charger to work but that might be operator error.
I have had a Snap Grip for years now and loved it. When my Snap Grip 4 broke (completely user error), I ordered the new Snap Grip 5. I'm so disappointed with the strength of magnet with this one. With the 4, I could place on the fridge, on the mirror, on my car, in the garage... and it never moved! The best part was that I could have it on my mirror (metal base/frame) when getting ready in the morning. The new one just slides off. It will stick to my fridge but you can just tell that the magnet is not as strong. Very disappointed.
The case I have for my iphone 17 pro is very slippery and I lost the grip within 2 days because it kept slipping off. I had another case I don't use as much that it held just fine but I prefer my slippery see through case. Sadly I will need to order a new one with adhesive.
You'd think that every successive product version would be better. Noth this. I had the 3 and 4 and never had a issue with my grip connecting to my car mount or snap stand. The 5 slips off of both stands. I didnt have to remove the 3 or 4 to charge. I do with the 5. I was able to stick the phone on the metal shelving upright next to my work bench. With the 5 is slides down. I have attached it to a tool box. When I pulled it off the phone the grip stayed behind. All and all, I would not recommend it or buy it again. My legacy snap products ar now useless
its a solid grip, magnet is strong, i enjoy using during workouts where i can use the magnet to stick it on workout equipment and keep it out of my pocket. I noticed that it has a reverse magnetic side when ever you try to stick it to a wireless charger, magnets have to be aligned perfectly to connect or it would do that little resistance play before sticking. While the grip is attached the phone feels loose on the wireless stand isn't as secure as it would be without it on. Also it gets hot when wireless charging. I have noticed that the back of the grip says snap 4 when its a snap 5 but that's just a minor detail.
