How thin and versatile the product is what drew me to ohsnap. Snaps right to the back of my iphone 17 magsafe case, and is incredibly fun to fiddle with throughout the day. Also provides great grip once you get used to maneuvering it. However that learning curve and the ability to work with it one handed with a larger phone could be made easier. The most disappointing part of the product for me has been the magsafe charging compatibility. It is not as strong through the grip as I had hoped. It has fallen off the upstanding wireless charger in the middle of the night on me. I will continue to use and be on the look out for future improvements where these aspects mentioned are improved. Still much better than bulky alternatives in my opinion.
It doesn't work with a lot of mag chargers. It does work with the Google Pixel one so I ordered another one, but they are expensive. The kickstand is also super delicate when the phone is in portrait (regular) orientation. Perhaps a better design would be more of a square with rounded corners or something.Overall I like it a lot more then the Google One or built in case rings. Solid buy.
I was slightly concerned with the pop out being flimsy before I got the product, or it not holding its shape well. Not the case at all. This grip is really nice. The magnetic feature is so great. I was always having to take my old one off to mount my phone in my car. This thing is built well, works well, I’m happy every time I use it.
This is my second time purchasing ohsnap. I had the gen 2 before and it was great. This time I got the gen 5. It is great but It would be prefect if the magnet is a little stronger. The magnet just don’t hold like the previous Gens.
I’ve owned two previous Snap Grips and was excited to hear they finally came out with an adhesive-free version! Unfortunately, this version (Snap Grip 5) is not magically compatible with the previous version car mount. The polarity on the magnet is different thus the grip won’t stick in the proper position. I really wanted to like this update with the flexibility of using the snap grip when I wanted to, and remove it when I didn’t.
I'm extremely disappointed with the OhSnap grip. The finger hole is flimsy, and the threads don’t align properly when closing. I have to manually adjustment them each time. After just five months of use, it no longer stays closed, which is incredibly frustrating, especially since I bought two of them and now I'm stuck with a faulty product.
The one thing that I seem to notice that feels quite different from pop socket is the actual circle that pulls out is too small for most fingers, you can actually feel the difference when you hold it compared to a pop socket there’s less surface area on the circle since is so thin. Maybe snap grip 6 can have some improvement in that area.
