Worse than snap grip Luxe

Just got this for Christmas to replace my snap grip luxe. I got a new phone case, same exact one just a different color. This grip is horrible. Will not even stay on my phone, just slides right off. The magnet is way worse, won’t hold my phone on charging stand, fridge, or anything. What happened?
This pains me to say because I have had 2 of the version 4 snap grips and they were so much better than this version. While the 4s were more of a permanent because of the adhesive the magnets were so much stronger. While being able to remove this version is nice, unfortunately falls flat for me. Another issue I have run into using version 5 is sometimes the pop out part doesn't want to stick down and keep popping up for me.I loved the 4 because when i would stick a mag safe accessory to it, it would dang near almost grab it out of my hand. but this version is so weak that sometimes it hard to attach a magsafe accessory and when sticking to a magnetic surface more often then not it will start sliding. If you need something to be able to remove this isnt the worst option but if you dont mind have a permanent thing attached to your phone/case go with the snap grip 4.
Magnetic strength is incredible, modularity with Oh Snap charger awesome, I just wish the opening for fingers was a little bigger. I’m a large man and with large hands, my fingers barely fit in the openings and if I push them in too far the disc doesn’t retract easily or fully. I’ve been putting just the edge of one finger in for holding the phone and that seems to work fine. I was also a little disappointed to see a sale just a week later for almost 2/3 of what I paid.
I’ve been an oh snap fan since the first grip. 2 has been my favorite in terms of comfort and durability, I’m extremely tough on my grips. The legs of 3 and 4 feel so flimsy and I finally broke not one but two grips of the 4. They did last several months each but I feel like I got so much more longevity out of the 1 and 2 gens. The legs are the biggest downfall, I will repurchase the 4 instead of the 5 right now since easy swapping isn’t a big deal to me compared to the cost...but I have a feeling until the legs are upgraded I will keep breaking my grips :/ I love how low profile it is but I’d rather have another 1 to 2 mm thickness to have stronger legs!
Few points of this newest model. I like the no adhesive but I noticed the magnetic force is weaker on this one vs the older one I have. The coating is pleasant to touch and feel, but it also scratching and looks poorly after scratched. I had my phone on a mag holder in my truck. I hit a bump hard and it knocked my phone off and it fell. My mat had dry dirt in the floor mat and some of the dirt magnetized to the ring part... I tryed to brush it all of before re connecting it to my windshield mount.. and I like that I can easily spin my phone from vertical to horizontal. Well some small bits were still between the ohsnapn and the mag mount and it scrapped the coating off badly.. and the feel after was very unpleasant. I ordered this new one to replace that one. I’m trying to more careful with my scratching this one so quickly. So I wish the coating was stronger like cerakote or something. But overall I love these for my minimalist phone setup.
After using they product 3 days the pop part would not snapback into place. Couldn’t use the magnetic charger because it didn’t pop back into place. Disappointed...
