LOVED my Gen 1 version and when I couldn't get it any more I "upgraded" to this version...I am not a fan. Using on an Android and I should have returned it when I first started having issues but I decided to hang in there thinking maybe it was user error...it wasn't. Followed all the instructions for the install and I think I'm on my 4 or 5th adhesive ring in 2 years. The adhesive is 10x WORSE than the original. Can't have my phone on the magnetic mount in my car during the summer because the adhesive softens and my phone falls off while driving. Which, as you can imagine, isn't great when you're following directions. I much preferred the original design to this one (metal ring that the ohsnap magnetically attached to and was so much stronger than this version). Oh and the magnet strength on the Gen 1 was also easily 5x what the current magnetic strength is. Never had any issues of it sliding down a metal horizontal surface. The newer version doesn't hold my phone up. Stuck with this until I find a suitable replacement similar to the Gen 1. Maybe the design is better for Apple phones but for me this was more of a downgrade than an upgrade. As I'm writing this, the Snap grip has detached from my phone yet again.
I love the quality of the grip! The packaging is great! My only 2 complaints are that one of the magnets popped out when we dropped it, and the stand function isn't very stable. Everything else is amazing and on par with the advertising. I love fidgeting with it!
I really love it. I like that i have multiple crip options and I can use it as a kickstand without it being extra bulky. I feel like it's described exactly as the product I got. Which I really appreciate, and I love
While it definitely adheres to my phone better without the adhesive and the grip itself is just as comfortable as the Snap 4, the rear magnet is significantly weaker. It no longer sticks to anything magnetic I try attaching it to, sliding off within seconds.
The product has a very strong magnet and stays on as advertised. However, still have to remove if you want to charge your phone. Nevertheless, it is fairly easy to remove for charging. I’ve also found that if you place in a metal surface it can get stuck to the metal surface but I’m not too upset with that. It’s thin and stays out of the way. Just need to check any metal surface before I move on so I don’t lose it.
These are trash. The plastic hinges break and the finish rubs off - in two weeks. And the Android adapter is a joke because you need a crowbar to remove the grip from the metal ring.
I got the product a couple of days ago and I love the feature of having it be magnetic to everything, light and thin, and especially a mini kick stand. Maybe for a newer model I’d like to see a little bit of an easier grab for the actual popping up. I find it I difficult to fit my fingers around if I’m looking for it to be fast. I love the pop it because I could just pop it up, it would lock and was much easier to hold it. With the oh snap I find it difficult to fit my fingers in between without it fumbling to one side or the other. Call me lazy but it’s more efficient to use one hand to pop it up than two hands to get it comfortable. I also could be the only one who has this complaint. Anyways, maybe for a newer model, making the oh snap lock in place when it’s fully extending making it more comfortable for hand placement and then being able to release it with a push for compacting and for the stand.
