I absolutely love this thing. It makes me feel very secure holding my phone, it’s beautiful and well made, and I especially love that there is no adhesive and I don’t have to remove it for wireless charging.
This newer version has a weaker magnet, which doesn’t hold my phone up on a wall very well anymore, compared to the very first phone grip I purchased a year ago. Now when I put my phone on a refrigerator or any metal surface, it starts to slide down the surface, and doesn’t stay in one place. My phone is the standard iPhone 13, which isn’t as big as any of the iPhone Plus models which are bigger and heavier. Had I known this I would have just purchased an older version of this grip/stand. The pop out kick stand seems better, which seems to use magnets to keep it in the closed position versus clicking into a closed position as the older versions. My older version of the grip/stand doesn’t click/lock into place anymore, possibly from over use.
I haven’t seen how long it lasts, but it’s pretty handy so far! It feels sorta flimsy, which is why I’ve given 4 stars.I will say the magnet is super strong, it definitely stays in place, and on the charger!
Before installing I noticed that it has adhesive over the magnets. The problem now is I can't remove it when I'd like to when using a certain situation. I thought I heard that now you added stronger magnets, is there any way I could exchange for the new version?
I gave it a 3 because it’s the only snap that can stay on and also charge that I could find, but the magnet is so powerful that it gets pulled off by every magnetic charger and I have to double fist it off the charger. The first time it flew across my car and landed in dirt and got dirt all over the sticky pad and now it doesn’t stick. Still love the concept but the adhesive is not strong enough.
ingenious design which has to be at the top for those that want a "handle" My problem is that I have a magnet-based car mount and I don't want to give that up at this point. I thought I could add a metal disk to the device to keep it in the magnetic mount, Nope that didn't work. My car's dash/vent design drives the buss. I don't have a lot of mount options and I don't have any real flat surface that I can afford to give up.
