Was at concert and dropped my phone and the snap grip popped out. The magnets on the latest version is not as strong anymore and would come off magnetic car mount on the simplest bumps at times. Wish the magnets were stronger like the version 4. Not I gotta buy another grip since I use it stick to magnetic surfaces a lot.
I think Oh Snap makes a fantastic product. I switched to the 5 as soon as the color I wanted was available, but it was not as good as the 4. My main problem? The magnetism wasn’t strong. Surfaces my phone used to firmly stick to with the 4, it was sliding down slowly with the 5. I don’t think it’s the adhesives that make the difference (I really do prefer that the 5 has no adhesives) but after trying the 5 and switching back to my 4 I can confirm the magnets in 4 are stronger and hold much firmer (not just across magnetized metal, but also on my magnet stands/chargers)
Within minutes of using it I was having problems closing it. The materials were bending in unexpected ways. I was able to adjust, but need to be careful how I use it and wasn’t expecting that. Kickstand hard to engage.
I thought it would be more substantial. There was more money in the packaging than the product itself. I have had so many good products for the same price. U am disappointed in the overall quality.
I bought the first grip a couple of years ago and liked it a lot. I kept it through multiple cases, but eventually the conventional adhesive cause rotational sticking, which ultimately caused the hinge to break. Snap Grip 5 overcame that issue. The magnetic-only application is seamless, as is removal & reapplication, and yet the hold is surprisingly strong. Rotation is smooth, and otherwise all the other features I liked about the original are still there. Big fan. 👍
I've used dozens of OhSnap products, LOVED Grip4 and recently received Grip5, as their description says, "major upgrade from OhSnap4". I am here to tell you NO, if there was a less than 1 star rating, I would give that! Sorry but I had no issue with Grip4, 5 stars, loved it, it charged through (except on Iphone Air). Otherwise, LOVED it... But Grip 5, HATE HATE HATE IT! Period, Full Stop! Is it slim, yes, does it charge through, yes... BUT every single MageSafe devise I "try" to attach, I fight with it for several minutes to attach to my MagSafe wallet, MagSafe charger and MagSafe car mount. The magnets fight with each other and if not attached securely, my phone drops to the floor. NO FUN!
Magnet is awesome - the grip and need for glue to stick doesn't meet expectations

Google Pixel 10 phone. The magnet is incredibly strong and works great with my wireless charger and to stick to anything else that I want! I have a Spigen case that is MagSafe compliant that causes no problems. The grip itself is a little difficult to access - usually requiring both hands to engage. Using it as a stand is flimsy - especially in portrait mode. Based upon all the advertisement I didn't expect to need adhesive to keep the grip on the phone, but it comes with the adhesive on it and apparently is highly recommended to use and reuse the adhesive.
